Six new members were inducted into the Troup High School Chapter of the National Speech & Debate Association on Wednesday, at the club's first induction ceremony. These new members are Lexi Brines, Izzabella Carretta, Aubrey Halbert, Maddy Howell, Manny Montes, and Alyssa White. The THS Chapter of NSDA was started in 2019 and over the years more than 50 individual students have participated in speech & debate.
Two outstanding graduating members received honors at the ceremony. Jordan Jessie earned the Merit Seal and received Red & Gray Cords of Excellence to be worn at graduation. Shawn White earned the Merit Seal and the Honor Degree Seal and received Red & Gray Cords of Excellence to be worn at graduation.
