Mrs. Groom's 1st-grade class had a special visitor today! Because she is so proud of him, Kynleigh invited her 'Uncle D' to class. Uncle D is known to football fans as DeMarvion Overshown: former Arp Tiger🐯, a soon-to-be graduate of the University of Texas🐮, and recently drafted Dallas Cowboy ✮🏈.
DeMarvion told the class he started playing football at their age and played other sports, too. He shared that it has been his dream to play football with the Dallas Cowboys since he was in the 3rd grade.
DeMarvion visited with his niece's class, answered lots of questions from classmates, signed autographs (in cursive!), and took lots of pictures. Then the kids took him to the playground for recess! He reminded everyone to stretch before getting active, and that in everything, you win some time and you lose some time - just keep working.
