Currently serving as TISD Board Secretary, Melissa Young is completing her fifth consecutive year as a TISD Board Trustee. She holds Place 2 on the board. She has also served as an officer in the TISD PTO for six years.

Melissa is a lifetime resident of Troup, where she is an active member of the community. She and her husband Tim have been married for 21 years and have two children. They are members of First United Methodist Church in Troup, where Melissa is a Sunday school teacher and Director of the Children’s Choir.

After graduating from Troup High School, Melissa attended Tyler Junior College and North Texas University in Denton.
