Podcasts
The Challenge: In 2007, the Troup Independent School District Board of Trustees challenged the faculty and staff of Troup ISD to provide parents and students with tools that would assist our students with homework and other class assignments. In response to that challenge, teachers have been working diligently to create podcasts in his/her area of expertise. Teachers now have over 500 podcasts posted with more to come. It is our hope that students will benefit from their efforts. What is a podcast? According to Apple, "Podcasts are radio shows or other audio programs available for download over the Internet." In order to access the podcasts from the Troup ISD web site, you will need three things...Internet access, iTunes, and Quicktime. As visitor to the Troup ISD website, you can access the podcast server in order to view a multitude of podcasts or subscribe to an individual's podcasts. iTunes is required for subscriptions and Quicktime is required to view the podcasts. Both programs are free downloads. A Work in Progress: This podcast project is a work in progress. Podcasts may be removed and new podcasts may take their place. Teachers are continually working to provide helpful resources to students, so please check back often. Student work has also been published with more to follow. |
