Homer Jones is serving in his twenty-eighth consecutive year as a TISD Board Trustee. He holds Place 5 on the board. In the past, Homer has also served as President and Vice-President of the School Board.

Homer and his wife, Ruby, have been married for twenty-nine years. They are the proud parents of two children and seven grandchildren.

Homer is currently a member of Grace Temple Church. He was recognized as Citizen of the Year by the Troup Chamber of Commerce in 2004.

After graduating from Troup High School, Homer attended Prairie View A&M University.
