Hello, my name is Melody Allen, I’m Mr. Beaty’s secretary. I came to Troup ISD in July of 2006 having relocated from McKinney, Texas. I had worked for Celina ISD for 22 ½ years starting in the Special Education department as an aide, then as a library assistant before going into the Administration Office.

My husband, Bob Allen, and I have been married for 39 years and we have one daughter. She and her husband and our one and only precious granddaughter live in Tyler, truly a great reason for us to move to East Texas!! We are members of Green Acres Baptist Church and have found great fellowship in the Celebration Class.

Spending time with family is a top priority for me. I also enjoy reading, shopping and watching HGTV!!

“It takes a whole village to raise a child” has been attributed to an Ashanti proverb. I truly believe that each and every employee of our district plays an important role in educating the students. I feel blessed to be a part of the Troup ISD “village”.
